Find a dead body of some rando in your house… so what? Someone has probably died in your house. Witnessing a murder and standing by helplessly is straight trauma. Nightmare fuel for the rest of your life.

I refuse to acknowledge Burlew’s best friend status. He incorrectly reframed the final question. The question included “…or you witness a deadly assault.” By definition, a “deadly assault” ends in a fatality. Therefore, his supposition that he might be able to do something to help is impossible.
