Today, we are joined by our friends from the south, comedians Trae Crowder and Corey Ryan Forrester.  You may recognize Trae from his viral videos on "The Liberal Network" and Corey Ryan Forrester from his standup comedy and his alter ego, the "Buttercream Dream."  The comedy duo joins in suport of their new book, “Round Here and Over Yonder: A Front Porch Travel Guide by Two Progressive Hillbillies (Yes, That’s a Thing.)”  We talk all things comedy, expanding your creative abilities, becoming authors, and even analyze Burlew's accent.  Go grab their book today!

We’re heading back to our second home as Verbal Shenanigans returns to Georgetown, Colorado. Steve Skalski is the founder of Guanella Pass Brewery and was not only gracious enough to give us time, but also send us some of their Bernese Mountain Brown Ale, made in honor of Mayor Parker the Snow Dog. Hear the story of how Steve met mayor Parker, learn more about the area and their brewery, and why burrows come by every year.

#444-Dr. Rebecca L George

If you watched Bones or CSI, you may have heard the term “Body Farm”…tonight we are farming. To be technical the proper term is Decomposition Facility as our guest Rebecca L George, PhD explained to us. She is the Assistant Director of Forensic Anthropology Facilities and Instructor of Anthropology for the facility at Western Carolina University. We learn her path to here, the process to volunteer bodies, and the environment where they study. Learning and laughing with this great interview.

The third time is a charm this week on Verbal Shenanigans.  We are joined for the third time by one of our favorite returning guests, Jonathan Antoine.  Joanthan is of course, an amazing and talented opera singer, but he is an even better person.  We discuss Jonathan's current endeavors, his loyal fans, his new creative outlet, his fitness journey, and the music industry in 2023.  Finally, we put Mike and Jonathan into comepetition with one another as they play a game called, "Hit the High Note".

We had an amazing conversation hearing about his rise from intern to radio in Orlando on his way to ESPN. We go over learning along the way, his viral note taking before events, and golfers being human and cursing their brains out. #436-Jordan Hatmaker

This week, we can not figure out what is more amazing….our guest’s survival, or how much she can smile and laugh about what happened. In November 2021, Jordan Hatmaker jumped from an airplane over 13,000 feet in the air, had her parachute get entangled with her leg, hit the ground at 80 MPH, and after all that, she is on our show smiling and laughing telling us the story. We chat about the emotions of the situation, the recovery, and how she even got a date from a photo in her hospital bed.

As 2024 elections are creeping up, you can count on Verbal Shenanigans to be your source for political news. Today we venture to Georgetown, Colorado to speak with one of the most beloved mayors in the country….Parker the Snow Dog. We talk with Parker’s “aid” Dustin Schaefer to discuss how a dog becomes mayor, the events Parker attends as an ambassador and travels of being a “good boy” mayor.
